This book is especially helpful to young parents just starting in the IEP process.  It has lots of good information.
I once told Dr. Grandin that it felt like I had been educated in the School of Temple Grandin, PhD.  What I meant by that is that when nothing else worked I devoured articles and books by Dr. Grandin.  Her ability to function is obviously much higher than Billy Ray's but her writing gave me great insight into working with my son.  The above are two of my favorites.
tThis book would be especially helpful in assessing skills for transition planning.  It is geared more to higher functioning children and adults but I found it useful in understanding the principles of evaluating my son's skills.

This is by no means a complete list.  I will be adding more soon.
